Civix Treasurer required by Societies Act and Elections BC

PURPOSE

Look after the financial affairs of Civix

• banking

• reporting to Elections BC

• working with candidates on their budgets

• allocate spending during the ‘election period’ (15Aug2022-15Oct2022) between Civix and candidates

• policy decision: extreme alternatives

  • candidate account for 100% of their own expenses

  • Civix accounts for and determines all expens spending and allocates back to candidates pursuant to Election BC law.
