Candidate Committee members figuring out how to best help candidates

PURPOSE

Define the mix of diversity, knowledge, skills, abilities and life experiences profile of the ideal pool of October 2021 candidates for WestVan municipal council; the end objective is to create a council where members personalities, skills, knowledge and abilities compliment each other to create a working council.

• create a survey evaluation form to be used to screen possible candidates

• find potential candidates

• ask potential candidates to complete the survey evaluation form

• evaluate responses

• interview potential candidates

• evaluate candidate references including police check

• recommend candidate to Board

• establish cost sharing (as defined by elections BC) agreement

• support candidates during election
